MAVS (Multi-Agent Voice Switcher) is a hardware and software platform by Crateso that processes voice commands to interact with AI agents. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data with a focus on transparency and user control. Your voice is your most personal data—we treat it with the utmost care.

1. Data Collection

1.1 Voice Data

MAVS is designed with privacy as a core principle:

  • Wake Word Detection: Processed 100% on-device. No audio is transmitted until you activate MAVS
  • Voice Commands: Transmitted to your selected AI agent only after activation
  • Voice History: Optional. You control whether commands are stored for improvement
  • No Always-Listening: MAVS only processes audio after wake word detection

1.2 Device Data

  • Device serial number and firmware version
  • Network connectivity status
  • Battery and usage statistics
  • Error logs and crash reports

1.3 Account Data

  • Email address and username
  • Agent configurations and preferences
  • API keys for third-party services (encrypted)
  • Usage metrics and feature preferences

1.4 Third-Party Agent Data

When you connect MAVS to AI agents (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.), data is transmitted to those providers under their privacy policies. MAVS facilitates the connection but does not control third-party data handling.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Core Functionality: Process voice commands and route to appropriate agents
  • Device Operation: Firmware updates, diagnostics, and performance optimization
  • Product Improvement: Aggregate, anonymized data to improve MAVS (opt-in)
  • Support: Troubleshoot issues and respond to inquiries
  • Security: Detect and prevent unauthorized access

3. Voice Data Processing

On-Device Processing

  • Wake word detection (never leaves your device)
  • Initial audio preprocessing and noise cancellation
  • Agent selection based on your configuration

Cloud Processing

  • Voice-to-text transcription (when configured)
  • AI agent communication
  • Response generation and delivery

Your Voice History Settings

  • Off (Default): Voice data deleted immediately after processing
  • On: Store history for 30 days to improve experience
  • Delete All: One-click deletion of all voice history

4. Data Sharing

We Share Data With:

  • Your Chosen AI Agents: Voice data routed to agents you configure
  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting, analytics (anonymized)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by valid legal process

We Do NOT:

  • Sell your personal data or voice recordings
  • Use voice data for advertising
  • Share identifiable voice data with third parties for their purposes

5. Data Security

  • Encryption: TLS 1.3 for all data in transit, AES-256 at rest
  • API Keys: Encrypted storage on device and cloud
  • Authentication: Secure device pairing with optional 2FA
  • Firmware Security: Signed updates, secure boot
  • Regular Audits: Third-party security assessments

6. Your Rights & Controls

  • Voice History: Toggle on/off in app settings
  • Delete History: Clear all voice data anytime
  • Export Data: Download your configuration and history
  • Account Deletion: Permanently delete account and all data
  • Agent Permissions: Control which agents can access data
  • Analytics Opt-Out: Disable usage analytics sharing

7. Data Retention

  • Voice Data: Deleted immediately or after 30 days (your choice)
  • Account Data: Retained while account is active
  • Device Logs: Retained for 90 days for diagnostics
  • Deleted Accounts: Data purged within 30 days

8. Enterprise & Developer Considerations

For enterprise and developer customers:

  • On-premise processing options available
  • Custom data retention policies
  • Dedicated security reviews and compliance documentation
  • DPA (Data Processing Agreement) available upon request

9. International Data Transfers

MAVS is operated from the United States. We implement appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) for international data transfers as required by GDPR and other regulations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of significant changes via email and in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
