Data Deletion

Your right to be forgotten

Overview

At Vespara, we respect your right to control your data. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Given the intimate nature of our platform, we take this responsibility seriously.

What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we permanently remove:

  • Your profile and all photos
  • Interview responses (heat level, hard limits, preferences)
  • All matches and connection data
  • Message history
  • TAGS game history and achievements
  • AI interaction logs (Strategist, Ghost Protocol)
  • Vouch chain data (vouches you gave and received)
  • Event participation history
  • Analytics and usage data

What's Retained

For legal and safety compliance, we may retain:

  • Records of reports you filed (anonymized)
  • Records of reports filed against you (if any)
  • Transaction records (if applicable)
  • Legal hold data (if under investigation)

This retained data cannot be used to identify you and is kept only for legal compliance.

How to Request Deletion

Option 1: In-App (Recommended)

  1. Open Vespara
  2. Go to Mirror → Settings → Account
  3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your identity with password/biometrics
  5. Select "Delete Everything"

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@vespara.co with:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your registered email address
  • Your username (if known)
  • Statement confirming you want all data deleted

Processing Time

  • In-App Requests: Processed within 24 hours
  • Email Requests: Processed within 7 business days
  • Backup Removal: Complete within 30 days

You'll receive confirmation at your registered email when deletion is complete.

30-Day Grace Period

After requesting deletion, you have 30 days to change your mind. During this period:

  • Your account is immediately hidden from other users
  • You can log in and cancel the deletion request
  • All your data remains intact

After 30 days, deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Effect on Others

When your account is deleted:

  • Your messages to others will show as "[Deleted User]"
  • Your vouches for others are removed
  • Your name disappears from event attendee lists
  • Others cannot contact you or view your profile

Re-Registration

After deletion, you may create a new account using the same email address. However:

  • No data from your previous account can be restored
  • You must complete The Interview again
  • Previous matches, vouches, and history are gone
